A lovely boat trip with commentary to cover the history and industry of the Grand Union Canal around Blisworth village, including the tunnel, River Nene connection branch and surroundings.

Crusader Community Boating will once again be supporting the Heritage Open Days with free trips for members of the public. (Donations towards our free service for disabled and disadvantaged people are always welcome!)

We will be running free boat trips on Sat 14th, Sun 15th, Sat 21st and Sun 22nd September. On each of these days there will be two trips of approximately 2 hours each starting at 10am and 2pm.

The boarding and disembarkation point will be on the Grand Union Canal at Blisworth, Northamptonshire, near the Towcester Road bridge.

Prior booking is essential.

Seat reservations may be made via the national Heritage Open Days website
https://www.heritageopendays.org.uk

Alternatively, you can send an email to boat-manager@crusadercommunityboating.org.uk or phone 07729 183 232

Please Note
Access at our main boarding location is via a fairly steep set of uneven steps. Passengers with mobility issues must contact us before booking for an alternative boarding location.
